What do you require for machine placement in the building?
We would love to partner with you to select a prominent, high-traffic location to maximize visibility and the convenience for your residents. Lockets are typically placed in the building lobby, but we can also place workout product-centric machines in or near the building gym.
What is delivery and installation like?
Locking down a Locket is simple and straightforward. We typically schedule a site visit to scope your property and identify the perfect Locket location. On move in day, our team manages delivery and set-up from end-to-end – we plug it in, connect to WiFi and handle all aspects of quality assurance.
How big are the machines?
Our cold module is 72” W x 71” H x 35” and our hot or ambient module is 40.6” W x 60” H x 15” D
What types of products are available in The Locket?
The Locket is where the best products from all categories come together, including fresh food and beverages, high-end healthy snacks, workout wares, gourmet pet treats and premium pet products and rejuvenating spa and wellness goods. What happens if I experience a problem with my on-demand or pre-ordered item from The Locket?

What are the technical requirements for The Locket?
The Locket requires a standard power outlet and WiFi.
How do the food lockers work?
Our cold and ambient lockers are stocked with shelf-stable treats, everyday sundries and fresh made meals. Our delivery fleet delivers the meals to the food lockers within six hours of consumption. The lockers are easy, affordable, and efficient. The units are temperature controlled and keep the hot stuff hot and the cold stuff cold. We also take food safety very seriously and every Alchemista locker uses UV light that kills 99.9% of bacteria. To place an order, simply scan a QR code that appears on the tablet screen on the locker, peruse the menu on your mobile device, place an order, submit payment, and voila! The locker door will pop open so you can grab your delicious meal. Enjoy!

How do I pay for on-demand items or pre-order meals? Is there an app? Can I pay on my phone?
The process to order food from the Orbit locker couldn’t be easier. Simply open the camera on your Apple or Android mobile device, scan the QR code on the tablet screen of the Orbit, peruse the menu, select the option you’d like, and pay with your credit card on your mobile device. Once the payment is accepted, the locker will pop open. Bon appétit!
Is the payment process secure?

What type of meals do you offer for pre-order?
We offer a variety of meal types, order items, and dietary conscious options. Some of our most popular items include Parmesan Eggplant Ciabatta-Parmesan Encrusted Roasted Eggplant with Roasted Red Peppers, Baby Arugula, and Nut Free Pesto Mayonnaise on a Fresh Baked Ciabatta Roll and Ham and Baby Swiss on Pretzel Roll-Sliced Black Forest Ham with Baby Swiss, Honey Mustard, Baby Spinach, and Tomato on a Toasted Pretzel Roll. Besides sandwich options, we offer delicious soups, hot and mouth-watering hot items, and fresh and healthy salads.
Do I order from the food lockers in advance or can I order on-demand?
We offer pre-ordered lunch meals in an effort to reduce food waste. All meals for the following week must be placed by 5pm on Friday. Our favorite shelf-stable brands, healthy snacks and last-minute gifts are on-demand 24/7. Simply scan the QR code on the locker, peruse the menu options on your phone, and order instantly.
When are the fresh meals prepared?
We take food safety very seriously. The meals are prepared within six hours of consumption and stored in temperature-controlled lockers. We don’t like soggy salads or lukewarm pasta either.
What about the scan n’ go option?
We have a variety of options on-demand available in our refrigerated section as well as our shelf-stable items. Peruse items from our selection such as Sabra hummus, Stacy’s pita chips, and more. Once decided, select the item(s) you’d like to purchase on the Square Terminal then proceed to your preferred payment type. We accept all major credit cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay.
How is Alchemista different from food delivery services (GrubHub, UberEats)?
Alchemista provides the complete experience. Unlike food delivery services, we employ amazing chefs who carefully prepare each meal. Once ready, Alchemista-employed delivery drivers bring the food to your location and ensure it is safely placed in temperature-controlled food lockers so you never have to wonder where your food has been and for how long it has been sitting there.
What do you do with any remaining food? Does it go to waste?
We partner with Rescuing Leftover Cuisine (RLC) and other charities, ensuring that any leftover food goes to those in need. By serving as the logistical conduit between our clients and RLC, your company reaps the charitable benefit, while helping to save thousands of pounds of food per year.
What type of packaging are the meals served in?
We are the FIRST and ONLY corporate food and beverage company to use reusable dishware, serveware, utensils and for all of our corporate catering clients, making us a pioneer in sustainability efforts within our industry. As a result, we reduce an estimated 109,920 tons of waste over the course of one year.

Do I have to order for a large group or can I order for myself?
We have a corporate catering business and self-service food lockers. We can serve as few as 1 and as many as you need. The sky’s the limit!
How many deliveries are made each day?
Depends! We are able to work with each of our clients to ensure we’re meeting their employees, tenants, and students’ needs whether that means one, two or more deliveries/day.
